The Local Stability of Accretion Disks with Advection

چکیده
Based on the disscusion of the applicability of local approximation, the local stability of accretion disks with advection is studied together with the considerations of radial viscous force and thermal diffusion. For a geometrically thin, radiative cooling dominated disk, the thermal diffusion has nearly no effects on the thermal and viscous modes, which are both stable if the disk is also optically thick, gas pressure dominated and are both unstable if the disk is whether optically thick, radiation pressure dominated or optically thin. The including of thermal diffusion, however, tends to stabilize the acoustic modes which, if without advection, are unstable if the disk is optically thick, radiation pressure dominated or optically thin, and are stable if the disk is optically thick, gas pressure dominated. The including of very little advection has significant effects on two acoustic modes, which are no longer complex conjugates each other. Independent on the optical

The Role of Thermal Conduction in Accretion Disks with Outflows
In this work we solve the set of hydrodynamical equations for accretion disks in the spherical coordinates (r,θ,ϕ) to obtain the explicit structure along θ direction. We study a two-dimensional advective accretion disc in the presence of thermal conduction. We find self-similar solutions for an axisymmetric, rotating, steady, viscous-resistive disk. We show that the global structure of an advec...
متن کاملA Simplified Solution for Advection Dominated Accretion Flows with Outflow
The existence of outflow in the advection dominated accretion flows has been confirmed by both numerical simulations and observations. The outow models for ADAF have been investigated by several groups with a simple self similar solution. But this solution is inaccurate at the inner regions and can not explain the emitted spectrum of the flow; so, it is necessary to obtain a global solution for...
متن کاملAdvective accretion disks and related problems including magnetic fields
Accretion disk theory was first developed as a theory with the local heat balance, where the whole energy produced by a viscous heating was emitted to the sides of the disk. One of the most important new invention of this theory was the phenomenological treatment of the turbulent viscosity , known the " alpha " prescription, where the (rφ) component of the stress tensor was approximated by (αp)...
متن کاملGeneralized Thermal Instability Criterion of Black Hole Accretion Disks
The conventional thermal instability criterion can not be applied to the advectiondominated accretion disks around black holes where the radiative cooling is insufficient to balance the viscous heating. The surface density change associated with the temperature perturbations, which was usually neglected in deriving the conventional criterion, was recently shown to be much significant in the adv...
متن کاملLocal stability criterion for self-gravitating disks in modified gravity
We study local stability of self-gravitating fluid and stellar disk in the context of modified gravity theories which predict a Yukawa-like term in the gravitational potential of a point mass. We investigate the effect of such a Yukawa-like term on the dynamics of self-gravitating disks. More specifically, we investigate the consequences of the presence of this term for the local stability of t...
